Over The Top (OTT) streaming media is a new-aged method for people to get TV without going through a cable company. Users can get TV on mobile devices, streaming sticks, consoles, as well as on computers. OTT is also the main victim of Net Neutrality repeal so as of right now, it's at a pass roads as to whether it can replace your cable subscription or not. If Net Neutrality repeal gets enforced by the FCC, cable companies will be able to price these OTT services out of the market and force customers into costly cable packages.
I was asked to be a guest host on one of my favorite podcasts, SMRPodcast to recap my CES experience and talk tech with hosts Robb and Chris. I've been featured on the show in the past, but this was the first time I was asked to be a guest.

The popular media streaming platform Fire TV from Amazon has always been known for what can be called "adaptability", and now it's even more adaptable. Amazon has allowed Firefox and it's own Silk browser to be installed on Fire TV products allowing users to bring the web to their TV.

The best of CES award must go to Razer with Project Linda. Project Linda is a Razer Blade Stealth 13.3” laptop shell that has a screen, RGB keyboard, and battery but no CPU. The Project Linda system uses the Razer phone as the main processor. You place the phone into the laptop shell where the trackpad should be and press a button on the keyboard and a USB-C connector deploys to connect the phone to the shell.

As I walked around the CES showroom floor today I got to see tons of cool stuff. Cool cars, cool drones, cool phones, but one of the coolest was a LED display that looked like was filled with fans or rotor blades.
One of the first things you'll encounter with you arrive at CES is the BMW Ultimate driving experience setup in the parking lot. The setup is to showcase the new M5 they have on hand and they also have a display to check out the new X2 that isn't released yet.
You can also sign up to take a spin in a M3 drifting around the parking lot which I did. It's a short ride, but it was pretty fun on one of the few rainy days here in Vegas.
