The tech geek in me is back

I haven't been much of a tech geek in the last few months.  Coming to Korea, I thought I would be able to get my hands lots of cheap tech and be able to produced a bunch of reviews.  But as time has gone on, I realized that most of the tech I care about doesn't come here the same time it does in the US.  So basically, I am left waiting for products to come and when they do, they are all in Korean so I don't know much about them at all.  For anyone who doesn't know, products that get announced at things like GSMA and CES come to market in different forms and factors around the world at different times.  The perfect example is the Galaxy SII that everyone knows and loves by now.  It came to the Asian market first but it was a dual core 1.2ghz 4" screen phone.  When it came out in the US 6 months later it was a 1.5ghz 4.5" phone.  And that phone finally came to the Asian market 2 months after US release as the Galaxy SII HD.  Basically what I'm saying is that it's hard to be a tech geek here in Korea unless I am fluent in Hangul and have plenty of money to buy random tech products just to figure them out.  Well, I barely know how to say "Hello" and "thank you" in Hangul and I am far from rich.  So being a tech geek from the US here in Korea is kinda hard.

Recently, I purchased a Lenovo Ideapad A1 because I could get a 7" tablet which I love for only $200 and it has cameras on the front and back.  It's not a top of the line tablet but for $200 what can you really ask for?  I just got it today and I will do a review this weekend when I doing nothing as usual.  I also purchased a Wibro (Wimax for you US folks) 4G wifi hotspot to use with my tablets.  I will also do a quick review detailing data speeds more than anything.  I am happy to be back blogging and talking about tech.  Honestly, its what makes me most happy besides my kick ass son who just turned 5.  I love that lil dude.

Anyway, stay tuned and you might actually get a review of a $200 this weekend.  LOL, thanks for bearing with me for those of you who have.
